'Ruĝo' Table Wine 2021

Ruĝo = Red in Esperanto

Nevio Scala is a big name in Italy and in the world of soccer, a former A.C. Milan player and manager of Parma Calcio with several Italian and European cup victories.

The vines were neglected before the estate was taken over; in fact, back in the day in Veneto, low-yield vines (and red grapes) were abandoned in favor of white (Pinot Grigio) or Glera (Prosecco), which were more profitable. The wine takes its name from Esperanto, the international language, which literally means "Esperant'"; one can see the idea, the conception, and the history behind it.
