CORSICA

Patrimonio Rosé 'Rivage de Farinole' 2020

CDVFranceRosé Wine

Patrimonio in red, rosé, and white was the first AOC on the Island of Beauty to be recognized, back in 1968. It celebrated its 50th anniversary on November 11, 2018.
This appellation ranks at the top of Corsican wines as a Cru.
All the elements of a terroir that produces an exceptional wine: the 450-hectare vineyard near the sea benefits from a microclimate. Amidst its clay-limestone soils, the Patrimonio appellation features schistous and granitic soils, tempered by the Sirocco wind that blows year-round, which moderates the intense summer heat and keeps the harvest healthy.

The four main grape varieties of Patrimonio wines—Niellucciu, Grenache, Sciaccarellu, and Vermentinu—forge an iconic bond for the Appellation.
The winemakers practice organic farming, and the vineyard is well on its way to becoming entirely organic.
