Anjou Chenin Blanc 'The Wind in the Willows' 2023

Le Pas Saint Martin is a family estate managed by Laurent Charrier.

Located in Doué La Fontaine, in the heart of the Saumur vineyards, Le Pas Saint Martin spans 16 hectares. As a bit of trivia, the name "Pas Saint Martin" comes from the Croix du Pas Saint Martin (Saint Martin's Footstep Cross). It is a small stone cross built on the edge of the Pierre Frite woods, which, in the Middle Ages, served as the final stop for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela.

Laurent Charrier manages his vineyard using organic farming methods. The estate has been certified by Ecocert since 1997. He does not use any synthetic chemical products in the vines.

Since 2009, the estate has offered an educational activity for children: "The World of Pierre Frite," which aims to raise awareness about biodiversity among the youngest visitors.
