Barbera / Cherry Aperitif
Wednesday, February 18, 2026 – 6:00 p.m.
For the second time, we will explore the Barbera grape variety during our "Apéro Cépage." Originally from Piedmont but increasingly well-traveled, we will attempt to understand how this grape, quite recent in the landscape of wine drinkers, is on its way to becoming a staple at the counters of trendy Montreal wine bars.
Lively and fruity, it is also capable of producing deep, colorful, and balanced wines. We will take advantage of its tannic structure and persistence for some memorable regional pairings.
Price of the workshop-aperitif including three wines, appetizers, and service: $65 + tax.
The Cerise "Apéro Cépages" series is hosted at the establishment's bar and is intended to be a more casual experience, with a sommelier at the counter presenting the subject for an hour or more. We ask that you arrive on time to begin the tasting at 6:00 p.m.
