Estela Armando invites you to venture into the Andes as summer gives way to autumn. The snow-capped mountains become whiter and the water of the Desaguadero River turns a deeper blue with each passing day.

Estela Armando's family has been growing grapes in Mendoza since 1887, one year after arriving from the Piedmont region in northern Italy.

Estela's grandfather started the family wine business by growing grapes and producing wine, then transporting it by mule train in leather sacks to sell to the workers building the Transandine Railway. The current Bonarda vineyard was planted by her grandfather and father in 1963.
